Syrian hamster

Is it thinking of something or maybe plotting against farmers' carrot crops?

A golden hamster originates from Syria, nowadays they are consider vulnerable in the wild, hamsters lost their natural habitat because of agriculture and deliberate destruction by humans. They're often kept as pets or as scientific research animals. Hamsters have enlarged cheek pouches in which they carry food, their diet contains mainly seeds, fruits and vegetation.
