My first postcard from Réunion, a French island located in the Indian Ocean. Thank you Shamia and Francis! The postcard shows the northern part of the island.
The island is located east of Madagascar and about 200km southwest of Mauritius, which is the nearest island. Réunion is one of the oversea departments of France. Réunion is an outermost region of the European Union and is a part of the Eurozone.
The centre of the island is mountainous, including volcanoes.
